Fix Control Center controls doing nothing

  • Restore the New Entry and Search Entries controls, which have opened the app without performing their action since 3.31.0.
  • Keep a queued control command until the app confirms it ran, so a command issued during launch is retried instead of lost.

Fix Shortcuts actions losing track of journal entries

Section titled “Fix Shortcuts actions losing track of journal entries”
  • Make individual entries usable in Shortcuts actions, which until now referred to entries the system could not find.
  • Offer recent entries when a Shortcut asks you to choose one, instead of showing an empty list.
  • Wait for the journal to finish opening before answering a search, rather than reporting no matches.
