Add photos and videos to journal entries

Photos and images

You can add a new photo or choose an existing image while editing an entry on a supported mobile device.

  1. Open the journal entry you want to edit.
  2. Choose the image control in the editor toolbar.
  3. Choose Camera to take a photo or Photos to select one from your library.
  4. Finish editing and save the entry.

Videos

Clearful also supports private video in entries on supported mobile platforms, including upload and playback.

Current platform notes

  • Mobile is the main path for capturing or choosing media.
  • Web supports everyday writing and existing media playback, but picking and uploading local video from the web app is currently limited.

If media is not appearing correctly

Try the upload again on a stable connection and keep Clearful open until it finishes. If the media still does not upload, contact support with your device, OS version, and whether the problem affects upload, playback, or the thumbnail. You do not need to send the private photo or video itself.
